Teen Troubles

Your Life:
Drugs & Alcohol, School Life, Relationships

Your Family:
Divorce, Domestic Violence, Sexual Abuse

Your Body:

  • Puberty
There is nothing quite like adolescence to make you feel like you’re in a bad science fiction movie. Children’s bodies “morphing” into adulthood without much rhyme or reason, the term “growth spurt” tossed around while you stretch very quickly to 98% of your full adult height; waking up to find that you now have oily skin, secreting glands, and the new hair ….nice touch!Add the biochemical hormone hurricane, your parents freaking out, and it’s …well, like we said, like you’re in a bad movie. But the good news is, everyone else you know is in the movie, too, so you’re not alone. And, with a little help from this website, you’ll get to write some of the scripts and determine how some of the movie will end. ( Yes,  puberty will eventually end, we promise!)

  • STD's
Sexually Transmitted Diseases are a consequence of unprotected sex. It is important that you understand how to protect yourself, how to know if you have one, and where to get testing and treatment. The best thing to do is read as much as you can about the subject, so you can avoid STD’s!
  • Pregnancy
It doesn’t get much tougher than this. It’s a lot easier to talk about would you should not do, than what you should do.
      • Don’t rush into a decision.
      • Don’t let your friends decide for you.
      • Don’t Decide Alone.
      • Don’t forget the adoption option.
      • Don’t depend on the teen father, no matter what he says.
