It’s great to have spending money, no question about that! But since school is your main job, it can be tough to find that part-time job you want. Then there is transportation to consider, getting your homework done, etc. So, sometimes you have to be creative, like starting your own little business. It’s not as hard as it sounds, and in the near future, there will be help for that from the Oroville Chamber of Commerce. A program to help community youth learn how to start their own business is in the works, so check back with this link in the future.
In the meantime, Butte County One-Stop offers a youth employment program designed to assist youth in search of employment. For more information, you can contact one of the Resource Specialist’s at the Oroville One-Stop Center, 78 Table Mountain Blvd. at 538-7301.
